Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SLK Engineering Suite web application and related services (the "Service"), operated under the trading name SLK ("SLK", "we", "us", or "our"), a software business based in Kazakhstan. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
The SLK Engineering Suite is a subscription-based software platform providing engineering calculation tools for slickline and wireline well-intervention work, including lift-force and tension analysis, job planning, tool-string modelling, log handling, and reporting. The Service is delivered as software-as-a-service and is accessed through a web browser.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- Organisation administrators are responsible for the users they invite and the roles they assign.
3. Subscriptions, billing & trials
Access to the calculation engines requires an active subscription. New organisations may receive a time-limited free trial; when the trial ends, continued access requires a paid plan.
- Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes (e.g. VAT/GST) are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
- You can cancel at any time; see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract the proprietary calculation logic, catalogues, or correction factors of the Service;
- resell, sublicense, or share access to the Service outside your organisation without our written consent;
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others, or to attempt to breach its security or interfere with its operation;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, calculation engines, proprietary datasets, correction factors, design, and content, is owned by SLK and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription. You retain ownership of the data and inputs you enter ("Your Content"); you grant us a licence to process Your Content solely to provide the Service.
6. Engineering disclaimer — professional responsibility
7. Warranties & disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SLK and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or for the security or integrity of the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Kazakhstan shall have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
